Working with alarms and sequences

Welcome back to our tutorials.
Did you know that you can use AI-Dash PRO as an HUB? In fact it can generate 3 different types of alarms, and those alarms can be notified over multiple channels.

From the left hand side menu in the Configuration section you can find the page Alarms

Empty home page

The types of alarms can be set on:

  • Single Event when a single event happens, AI-Dash PRO will notify you, for example if an intrusion sensor is been trespassed, or your overcrowd sensor goes over a set threshold
  • Counter Threshold this is related to your Aggregated sensor, when the operation between your sensors goes over a set threshold AI-Dash PRO will notify you, for instance when the sum of all our counting sensors at gates goes over a certain number we can launch an alarm.
  • Events Sequence in order to get an alarm notification from AI-Dash PRO, a sequence of 2 or more events needs to happens. For example, if the occupancy sensor is over a certain percentage and the sum of all the counting sensor at gates is over a certain number then launch the alarm.

Let's go into the specific and learn how to:

Configure a Single Event Alarm

To add an alarm of any types, we just need to click on the New Alarm button, which will open a new pop-up page from where we can set all the parameters for our alarm. From where we can insert the:

  • Name to uniquely identify the alarm we are creating
  • Type in this case Single Events
  • Notifiers form the once set in the Notifiers section, it can be selected more than one notifier.

and of course you need to set the sensor in terms of:

  • Sensor Type the kind of sensor you want to set from all the typologies AI-Dash PRO offers
  • Device the device where that kind of Sensor Type it's linked to
  • Sensor the sensor which is been configured for that Device

Once done, by pressing on Create a pop up message will inform you of the successful creation and the alarm will be added to the alarm page, from which you can always:

and of course you need to set the sensor in terms of:

  • Counter the aggregate sensor, previously created in the Aggregated Sensor section

After that you should set the following fields for the 1st Sensor:

  • Sensor Type the kind of sensor you want to set from all the typologies AI-Dash PRO offers
  • Device the device where that kind of Sensor Type it's linked to
  • Sensor the sensor which is been configured for that Device

Then the Time Between the events in SECONDS

After that you should set the following fields for the 2nd Sensor:

  • Sensor Type the kind of sensor you want to set from all the typologies AI-Dash PRO offers
  • Device the device where that kind of Sensor Type it's linked to
  • Sensor the sensor which is been configured for that Device

and of course if you wish to add more sensors you just need to press Add Sensor which will replicate the same fields as before including the Time between the events. You can always remove one of more sensors with the Remove Sensor button, this will remove the last sensor of the list.
